01 / YOUR INSTRUMENT

What moves you?

Start with the instrument you’re drawn to.
We’ll take it from there, at your pace.

02 / THE FEELING

Serious about music.
Big on the fun.

Learning an instrument should feel like an invitation. A place to try things, make mistakes, and discover what you can do.

01

Your music, your starting point.

We build on the songs you enjoy and the skills you want to learn. No experience needed, just curiosity.

02

We play together.

Hands-on lessons with music at the centre. Listen, experiment and put new skills into practice as we go.

03

Confidence that keeps growing.

From a first full song to grades, GCSE performances and playing in a band. There’s room to follow your own path.

03 / YOUR TEACHER

Hi, I’m
Sean.

Sean-Lee Duncan
Musician. Teacher. Band leader.

“Go for it.
You can.”A little encouragement goes a long way.

I love helping young people find the musician in themselves.

I teach guitar, drums, bass and keys, alongside my work with Create Music and leading NRG band sessions in Brighton & Hove.

My favourite part? Seeing a student go from “I can’t do that” to playing something they’re proud of. Whether your child is a little shy, full of ideas, or ready for their next challenge, I’ll help them take the next step.

My background brings together performance, teaching and the science of music. That means thoughtful lessons, plenty of encouragement, and a focus on making music feel good.

A LITTLE REASSURANCE FOR PARENTS

A proper foundation.
A personal approach.

Your child doesn’t need to arrive confident. We’ll build that together, with patient guidance and achievable next steps.

Lessons bring together technique, listening, musical understanding and the enjoyment of playing. Grades are an option, never the only goal.

04 / GOOD TO KNOW

Before the
first note.

Are complete beginners welcome?

Absolutely. We can start from the very first note, building good habits and confidence one step at a time. Students with experience are just as welcome.

Where do lessons take place?

I teach in Brighton & Hove, with private studio lessons at Small Pond. We’ll confirm the location and practical details when arranging your lessons.

Do we need an instrument already?

Let’s talk before you buy anything. What you need depends on the instrument and where your lessons take place. I can help you think through a suitable setup for practising at home.

Can you help with grades and performances?

Yes. I’ve supported students up to Grade 8 and with GCSE performances. We can work towards exams, performance skills or simply playing the songs you love.

What are the lesson times and prices?

Private lessons are usually 45 minutes. Please enquire for current availability, lesson fees and studio arrangements so we can find the right fit.

YOUR NEXT CHAPTER STARTS WITH A NOTE.
